Dr. Van Horne and her Play Therapy class had the opportunity to meet internationally recognized researcher and author of play therapy, Dr. Garry Landreth, at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte's Multicultural Center for Play Therapy Conference this June (2019).
Dr. Van Horne was invited to speak to the American Association of State Counseling Boards in Washington, DC this August (2019). The presentation titled, "Emotional Well-Being with Equus" focused on the benefits of using equine species as therapeutic partners for better mental health for students and clients.
