Elisabeth Black Winkler (pictured farthest right) was awarded Instructional Support Person of the Year at Caldwell Applied Sciences Academy, located in Hudson, North Carolina. Winkler graduated from Appalachian State's Community Counseling program in 1999, later completing her certification in school counseling. Reflecting on her career, Winkler shared "Having 25 years of counseling experience, ASU truly prepared me for the kind of things I need to know in this field."
